Mega Man Legends (PS1, N64)

Mega Man Legends, also known as Rock Man Dash in Japan, was released in 1998 in North America and published by Capcom. Mega Man is a very popular video game character who has appeared in many different titles spanned across multiple systems. However, Mega Man Legends is unique because it is the first action adventure game that Mega Man appeared in. Mega Man Legends was released on the PlayStation 1, and it was released on the N64 as Mega Man 64.

Mega Man Legends takes place on a flooded Earth where only a few islands are still above water. The game has a lot of futuristic aspects, and it truly envelopes you into its' world. After some engine problems, Mega Man and his friends go to Kattelox Island to repair their ship, and they encounter various problems with pirates and other enemies. Mega Man Legends has a sequel and a spin off of the game, but there was never a third installment. Capcom promised a third game to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, but the organization canceled it before release.

Mega Man Legends is a great installment in the Mega Man series. I have some very fond memories of this game because of the strong story, gameplay and characters. Mega Man Legends was also released on the PlayStation network as a cheaper option than purchasing the original game. I cannot wait to go back to this game and relive some of the best moments of my childhood.
