The Legend of Dragoon (PS1)

Released in 2000 for the PlayStation 1, The Legend of Dragoon is a turn based role playing game. The Legend of Dragoon was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan. The Legend of Dragoon feels like the long lost cousin of a Final Fantasy series, and that is a very strong compliment. The story follows Dart, a warrior who sets out on a quest to rescue his best friend Shana. The game has a specific combo system that made the game very unique at the time. The Legend of Dragoon is all about the story the game has to tell, and the game does it in a brilliant way.

The Legend of Dragoon received some positive and mixed reviews. The game has some beautiful cinematics which captures the player and truly makes The Legend of Dragoon an interactive experience. The most interesting part about The Legend of Dragoon's combat is the ability to transform. Each character has their own unique Dragoon power, and it can make an entire battle different depending on the powers used. The Legend of Dragoon is a strong title for the PlayStation that not many gamers know about.

The Legend of Dragoon is one of the best games on the PlayStation. It is a game that I hold near and dear to my heart, and I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in story based role playing games. Even though there are no plans for a sequel, I hope that PlayStation eventually releases one. The game is relatively cheap for an orgiginal copy, and anyone who has a PlayStation 3 can purchase it for around $6 on the PSN store.
