Earthbound was released in 1994, and it originally got mixed reviews. Like a fine wine, Earthbound has aged very well. Earthbound follows a young boy named Ness, who stumbles upon a meteor near his home. After some strange circumstances occur, and some aliens threaten the world he loves, Ness begins his journey to save mankind.

Earthbound is best known for its humor. Earthbound is a turn based RPG that takes a about 40 hours to complete. During my playtime, I found myself laughing out loud at the various references and dirty jokes. It is a game that was too early for its time, and many have realized just how special the game was. Earthbound has become a lot more popular because of Ness being put into the Super Smash Bros. series. Even though a game in the series has not come out since this one, many fans have begged Nintendo to return to this series.

Earthbound was produced by the late Satoru Iwata, and he is said to be the sole reason the game was released. It was a mess before he came on the team, and he put countless hours into making the game worthy of the Nintendo title.

Earthbound is one of my favorite games of all time. Any Nintendo or RPG fan should give the game a try. I dream of a possible day that a sequel comes out because I will be running to the closest game store to get a copy.
